Polyphenol Information

One of the wonders of extra virgin olive oil is the presence of polyphenols, which act as powerful anti-oxidising agents, meaning that they are anti-bad cholesterol (LDL), anti-cancer, anti-heart attack and anti-ageing.

While an excellent extra virgin olive oil must contain between 100-250 mg/kg of polyphenols, many oils within our region boast higher levels, up to 400 mg/kg.

Here at La Ferriere, our latest harvest exceeded all expectation and we are proud to offer an oil that contains a whopping 563 mg/kg of polyphenols, making our oil that much better for you.
